The book will be published in April

but because John is coming to my home town

and his handler (also his dad)

and my librarian are best friends

I got to read an advanced copy.

It was AMAZING!!!!!

I have read all of John's books

and I am working my way through David's.

Reading this book was like visiting old friends!

I had two other books I should have been reading.

There were many more books on my list I could have been reading

But this one took the cake,

I had to finish it almost as soon as I started it.

The two Will Grayson's meet and their lives change forever.

In the end the book is about what both authors talk about most . . .

passionate

and

ridiculously amazing!

Stand in line for this one-it's worth it!

Busy Weekend

I used a reading assignment as an excuse to scrapbook.

I listen to my books and I got this one on my iPod,

it was a great reason to let the creative juices flow.

From the Strangest Places

Forensics season has begun and this year I have decided to step outside the box

(I try to do this whenever possible)

and do something completely different. For me this means doing something other then a formal speech. I have done oratory and special occasion, so this year I wrote a group interpretation of literature about Star Wars.

I had planed on doing a published piece about Sherlock Homes but

my partner wasn't as interested in that.This brings us to last night, where, for the sake of research I was watching Episode V.

(Confession: I had never seen any of the Star Wars films until I was sixteen.)

As I watched I started to think about what Yoda was telling Luke about the force:

"For my ally in the Force.

And a powerful ally it is.

Life creates it, makes it grow.

It's energy surrounds us and binds us.

Luminous beings are we...(Yoda pinches Luke's shoulder)...not this crude matter.

(a sweeping gesture) You must feel the Force around you.

Here, between you...me...the tree...the rock...everywhere!"

It sounds really cool to me.

It caught me off guard at first, I never expected philosophy from a Sci-Fi film.

I was wrong.

(Also-any movie with Harrison Ford is good by me!)

A Quote to Start the Week

Here's to the crazy ones.

A Little Light Reading

I just recently finished two really good books!

Both are pretty fluffy but worth it.

First- High Five by Janet Evanovich

It is the fifth in a series.

It's cute and fun,

Evanovich would take a scary situation

and make it not only comfortable,

but laugh out loud funny.

The second is The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig

This is a fourth in a series,

neither series is necessary to read in order.

This one is a historical romance set during the Napoleonic Wars.

It's all about the respective country's spies and their personal lives.

Both are completely adorable!
