Monday Morning Card #45

Giving thanks.

I try to do it a lot,

but I could always do it more.

Right now I'm thankful for this moment in my life.

This moment dedicated to love and learning.

Soon I will be busy as stressed

(in the best way!).

For now, however, there is peace.

There is green, warmth, and fresh grown colors.

I'm thankful.

I'm so very thankful for this moment of in-between peace.

Monday Morning Card #44

Something I've noticed about summer:

Things sneak up on you.

The end of months come too soon.

Night comes sooner than expected-even with the extended sunlight.

Birthdays come and go with only a drink or two to mark them.

My advice?

Make/buy a bunch of birthday cards.

Eat outside enabling you to drink up the sun and the gin.

I hope you enjoy the bright colors and the advice.

Spain Part 4: Barcelona

I'm behind.

It's mid-July and I'm just telling you about Barcelona.

I'm sorry.

(Gaudi is worth the wait though!)

We spend two days in Barcelona.

The first day we walked around town,

specifically down to the port.

Christopher Columbus sailed into this port after his first voyage to the Americas.

It was here that he reported to the King and Queen.

Also, the statue they have of him to commemorate this points in the direction of Asia.

Hehe!

On the second day we visited Sagrada Familia.

Which is Antoni Gaudi's as of yet unfinished masterpiece of a church.
When he designed this building in the 19th century there were no cranes or lifts.
The technology needed to build it literally didn't exist.

And people are still building.

Working away.

Hoping to finish by 2041.

After that we wandered around and found a hospital also designed by Gaudi.

Next is Porto De Santa Maria.

Monday Morning Card #43

Sometimes we all need a little encouragement.

To be better people.

To take more naps.

To just finish the paper for that jazz class already!

Or you know to achieve your dreams and stuff.

That's why it's extra special when someone

(hopefully a friend and not a stalker or whatever)

notices your hard work and effort.

So remember "What each of us become is fashioned from the stardust of our dreams."

(That's what's on the card. It's hard to see-sorry.)

They're pretty awesome.

So I made this bright birthday card so I can share in other's joy at being a year older.
